Florida Drawbridges, Inc. dba FDI Services is an expanding asset maintenance company based in South Florida. We have nation-wide government contracts with advancement opportunities for future looking candidates and we are looking for motivated professionals to help us grow and grow with us.

The FDI’s contracts involve maintaining, repairing and upgrading transportation assets from Florida to Maine. These include drawbridges, building facilities and highway infrastructure. The contracts are total Asset Management covering all the electrical, mechanical and structural systems included in each asset.

Bridge Electrician - North Palm Beach County and Miami

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain and repair bridge structures
Must have basic electrical knowledge
Must be self-motivated and able to accomplish tasks. You must complete your routine maintenance activities each week/month and fill out proper documentation.
Must have a safety conscious attitude. The employee is expected to use safe work practices at all times and follow safety policies. Report on the job hazards.
Must work on-call and overtime as required
Must provide basic mechanics tools.
Must have reliable transportation that can be used for work. Company pays a per diem for its use and the vehicle is one of your tools.
This job includes work beyond basic electrical work which shall be performed as required.
Must be able to use smart phones well. (electronic communications, email, text etc.)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Skilled with motor controls, relay logic circuits
Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams
Ability to troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drives (VFD) and automatic transfer switches (ATS)
Must be able to work with programmable logic controller integration (PLC)
Hydraulic controls knowledge and repair ability (preferred)
Must speak, read and write English.
Must be physically fit to perform the job.
Know proper lockout/tag out procedures.

Minimum Education and Experience

Formal Education: HS Diploma or GED (Preferred)
Work Experience: 5 years of electrical experience (Required)
Certifications and License: Electrical Journeyman license (Required) and Driverï¿½s License with good driving record (Required)

Drawbridge Operator - Broward and Palm Beach areas

Drawbridge Operator positions available in the Broward and Palm Beach areas. This is a very desirable opportunity to work at an interesting and unique job overlooking the Florida waterways. We are looking for safety-conscience individuals to operate the bridges safely and highly dependable people to maintain our bridge houses in “Tip-top” shape.
